It’s very clear that most Americans don’t want to see Joe Biden run for re-election in 2024. A preliminary national exit poll found Tuesday makes that even more clear.
When asked if they would like to see Biden run for president again in 2024, 66 percent said, “No,” while 30 percent said, “Yes,” according to CBS News Radio’s Steve Portnoy.
The poll also revealed that inflation is the top thing on the mind of voters, with 32 percent ranking it number one. Followed by abortion at 27 percent, crime and gun policy both at 12 percent and immigration at 10 percent.
Back in October during an interview with MSNBC, Biden said it is his attention to run for re-election in 2024.
Biden explained, “The reason I’m not making a judgment about formally running or not run, once I make that judgment, a whole series of regulations kick in. And I treat myself as a candidate from that moment on. I have not made that formal decision, but it’s my intention. My intention to run again. And we have time to make that decision.”
For the Republican Party, 45th President Donald Trump told an Ohio crowd to expect a “very big announcement” next week.
“I’m going to be making a very big announcement on Tuesday, November 15, at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida,” he said as the crowd erupted.
