Since Joe Biden took office, Americans are getting a taste of the consequences of government institutions going off the rails.
We have evidence of the FBI’s interference in the last two presidential elections. We’re watching the weaponization of the Department of Justice.
And one of the most egregious…the Supreme Court leak last spring.
The draft of Justice Alito’s majority opinion regarding overturning Roe v. Wade was leaked to Politico in early May.
“The draft opinion is a full-throated, unflinching repudiation of the 1973 decision which guaranteed federal constitutional protections of abortion rights and a subsequent 1992 decision – Planned Parenthood v. Casey – that largely maintained the right,” Politico reported.
In his opinion, Justice Alito wrote, “Roe was egregiously wrong from the start.”
Part of the leaked document entitled, “Opinion of the Court” read, “We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled.”
Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts was appalled that someone working in the highest court in the land leaked a draft opinion. He announced an immediate investigation to identify the leaker.
Some political pundits thought it would be fairly easy to figure out who the leaker was but it’s seven months later and no one has been identified or held to account.
In a June interview with Newsmax TV, GOP Rep. Matt Rosendale of Montana said with certainty that some of the justices know the identity of the leaker.
“We all could probably agree that the justices that were appointed by Democrat presidents know who the leaker was,” he stated. “What bothers me, it’s not only the undermining that it did of the institution and the trust factor that these folks have with each other, it’s that now that the trust is broken, it’s very difficult to restore it.”
He reminded the audience that what the leaker did was a criminal act.
“It is a federal crime to go in and try and get a justice to change their vote,” Rosendale said. “To try and influence the outcome of a court decision is a crime. It’s a federal crime, and again, we see the Department of Justice is laying down on the job and not pursuing these people that are trying to intimidate them.”
The DOJ is too busy intimidating parents at school board meetings, going after pro-life activists, and trying to pin a crime on former President Trump.
Rosendale continued, “There could be more people involved, and those people could go all the way to the top. Don’t eliminate the judges because you know people, so there’s no way that would happen. No way. Think about it. Michael Sussmann is on trial right now for Russiagate. That happened six years ago. We’re only getting answers right now. I hope it doesn’t take another six years to get answers to what happened at the Supreme Court.”
There’s a lot of shady stuff occurring in the highest ranks of the U.S. government. The American people are the ones suffering the consequences.
