As Biden Weakens America’s Military, Trump Calls For Peace As China Looms Large

President Joe Biden’s military and economic largesse to the government of Ukraine has so degraded America’s combat readiness that a new report from the Center for Strategic and International Studies says if war with China broke out, our forces would exhaust their ammunition “in less than one week.”

According to the CSIS report cited by Timcast News, the United States military is “not adequately prepared,” for war and would most likely find themselves without ammunition in a matter of days if we engaged China in a theorized war over Taiwan

Contrast this with a recent Truth Social post from former President Donald Trump who wrote ruefully,

“IF I WERE PRESIDENT, THE RUSSIA/UKRAINE WAR WOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED, BUT EVEN NOW, IF PRESIDENT, I WOULD BE ABLE TO NEGOTIATE AN END TO THIS HORRIBLE AND RAPIDLY ESCALATING WAR WITHIN 24 HOURS. SUCH A TRAGIC WASTE OF HUMAN LIFE!!!”

The assessment from the CSIS is supported by recent comments from the U.S. Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro reported by Newsweek earlier this month.  The Secretary told a group of reporters at the 2023 Surface Navy Association National Symposium in Arlington, Virginia that within six months the U.S. Navy may need to decide whether to arm Ukraine or itself, as reported by Defense One’s Marcus Weisberger.

“An admiral alluded to the US needing to choose between itself and Ukraine during a panel at the conference,” he wrote.
