Another Senator Proudly Endorses Trump for 2024 Run, Calls Him ‘The Strongest President Of My Lifetime’

Senator Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) has come out in favor of Donald J. Trump’s presidential run in 2024. Senator Mullin lavished praise on the Republican president calling him, “the strongest president of my lifetime,”  “the architect of our America First movement,” and “a proven champion for our conservative values, and a fearless leader on the world stage.”

Mullin, in his statement of endorsement, spoke about the long record of accomplishments achieved by Mr. Trump.  He noted that “In just four years, President Trump delivered great results for the American people. He lowered taxes, secured American energy independence, protected our Second Amendment, and never backed down from the radical Left threatening our way of life.”

Mullin is a freshman senator in the 118th Congress. He was overwhelmingly elected in a special senatorial election in 2022. His campaign website declares that “Markwayne left college to fight to save his family’s plumbing business. In Congress, he fought the liberals trying to stop President Trump. He is a tried-and-true conservative leader who will NEVER BACK DOWN to the D.C. liberal elites.” He is the first Native American to serve in the Senate since Ben Campbell (R-CO) in 2005 and the first representing his state since Robert Owen (D-OK) in 1925.

As Breitbart records, Mullin was the fifth senator to endorse Trump’s third presidential run, and he “joins Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Eric Schmitt (R-MO), Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), and J.D. Vance (R-OH)” for this distinction. Mullin is also the third freshman senator to support Trump after Eric Schmitt and J.D. Vance.

Senator Vance endorsed Trump in an article written in the Wall Street Journal that commended the former president for the fact that “He started no wars despite enormous pressure from his own party…He has my support in 2024 because I know he won’t recklessly send Americans to fight overseas.”

Senator Schmitt, in an interview with Politico, opined that “He’s [Trump] very popular in Missouri. He’s been somebody that’s gotten the support of Missourians by big margins a couple times. He has my support.”

These endorsements come amid the backdrop of polls showing Trump having a massive lead over any other potential Republican competitor for the Republican primary. The DC Enquirer noted that one such poll “conducted with 2,228 Americans from January 19-23, found that Trump is leading his opponents by a mammoth 35 percentage points with 59 percent of those polls supporting the 45th president for election to a second, non-consecutive term. ” A series of polls conducted over a lengthy period of time also reveals that Trump enjoys a lead in the popular vote against Biden in a 2024 rematch.

It should be noted that Republican presidential candidates have failed to garner the popular vote over their Democratic competitors since 2004.
